Our Privacy Promise

Your personal data never leaves your iPhone. The Clarity Path app is designed for on‑device processing. We do not have access to your journal entries, mood logs, messages, or insights. We cannot sell or share data we never receive.

1) Scope

This policy explains how Clarity Path (“we”, “us”) handles information for our mobile app and public website. The app is iPhone‑only. Certain website features may use analytics; the app itself processes data locally and is designed to avoid transmitting your personal content to our servers.

2) What we do not collect from the app

  • Journal entries, reflections, or check‑ins
  • Mood data and personal insights
  • Conversations with the in‑app assistant
  • Health, location, contacts, or device identifiers
  • Behavioral/usage profiles derived from your app activity

3) On‑device processing

Clarity Path uses on‑device models and iOS capabilities to generate insights directly on your iPhone. Your content stays on your device and is protected by iOS security features such as device encryption and biometric authentication when enabled.

4) Information we may receive

  • Purchases and subscriptions (via Apple). Apple provides anonymized purchase status so we can verify your entitlement. We do not receive your full payment details.
  • Crash reports and diagnostics. If you opt in through iOS or TestFlight, Apple may share crash logs and limited technical diagnostics. These do not contain your journal content.
  • Support communications. If you email us or contact support, we receive the information you choose to provide (e.g., email address, message content, screenshots) to resolve your request.
  • Website analytics. Our public website may use analytics (through tools such as Google Tag Manager) to understand aggregate traffic. This does not affect the app’s on‑device privacy.
  • Performance of a contract to provide the app and subscription features you request.
  • Legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our website and services (e.g., diagnostics, abuse prevention). We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
  • Consent for optional features (e.g., TestFlight participation, certain cookies/analytics in applicable regions). You can withdraw consent at any time.

6) Retention

  • App content remains on your device under your control. Deleting the app or its data removes your content from the device.
  • Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request, then periodically purged.
  • Diagnostic data (if any) is retained according to Apple and our providers’ policies.

7) Sharing and third parties

  • Apple (App Store and TestFlight). For distribution, subscriptions, and optional testing.
  • Website hosting and analytics providers. Our site is hosted and may use analytics to understand aggregate usage. Providers only receive the limited data necessary to perform their services.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

8) International transfers

Where service providers process data in other countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by law.

9) Security

Your app content is protected by iOS device security. For website and support systems, we use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls and encryption in transit.

10) Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and restriction. Because we do not store your app content on our servers, many rights requests do not apply to in‑app content. For website analytics and support data, contact us and we will assist consistent with applicable laws.

11) Children’s privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.

13) Contact

Questions about privacy? Contact us through the app or via our website. We’ll respond as soon as possible.
